The building was awarded the 5th Julio Galán Carvajal Prize by AR+D 2001 The Architectural Review and was a finalist in the Premios Saloni de Interiorismo (Saloni Interior Design Awards).
Integrating a mortuary into the residential area of Eras de Renueva was a challenge that the architects overcame by placing the installations underground below a lake and a sloping landscaped garden, which offers a more tranquil and pleasant view from the waiting room.
